Time The Bird Flew

it’s been hard on you
it’s been nothing but a strain
then, we all play the game
and pay the price in pain
it’s been hard on you
she came from somewhere else
she cares so hard
and gazes so deep
plagues your mind
and infiltrates your sleep
sanity is hard to find
safety is an illusion
for we are all in a state –
of permanent state of confusion
it’s been hard on you
isn’t that true
searching for the new
it’s time the bird flew
because it’s been so hard on you
