Just For a Little Water
i’d crawl just for a little water
valentines day came and went
easter is starting to feel different
we are plagued by insanity
and then, christianity
not apologising for its sins
the shame of its past –
it wants us to look through the bins
and justify why it should last
i’d crawl just for a little water
the thirst of knowledge
they said don’t look down
i’m on the ground floor window ledge
wearing my start sign frown
christmas came and went
some fed it to the lions
some of us are getting bullied
some of us are sick and tired of trying
i’d crawl just for a little water
