These Hills
these hills,
keep appearing
these hills,
keep-a-smiling
these hills,
are a future in my life
we are all wondering –
if there is a reason for grief
i wanted wisdom
but all i got was milk teeth
these hills
keep-a-coming
like a broad horizon
these hills,
keep-a-smiling
what do they want of me
these hills look so big
as shallow as is my sea,
when the tide is out –
from these hills that belong to me

These Hills – Written Sunday 17th February 2002 (Aged 26)

“i wanted wisdom
but all i got was milk teeth”
This is really good… the poem made me think. Great imagery!
