Another Day of Madness

another day of madness
what coat,
and what hat should i wear?
as i stare down streets
does anybody care?
if you have got love
do you have any to spare?
another day of madness
slipshod and snow bound
skating on the fringes of sanity
diluted with thoughts,
by the cocktail of reality
what coat,
and what hat should i wear?
a penny for the machine
and one to spare
life is a theme park
it’s just not fair
another day of madness
