Half Empty Glass – Written Tuesday 7th February 2006 (Aged 30)

Half Empty Glass

that glass
will always be half empty
it will neve be half full
life will be a slight drizzle
with no rainbow
and that will be the only point of view
the terminal
will be just that
never any positive
and far too much negative

the glass
will always be half empty
it will never be half full
topped up with low self esteem
and an insecure streak
with an aversion to dreams
a seasonless world
of unrelenting gruel
it forms the view
with nothing positive to say
watch it move away

James Garratt – Tuesday 7th February 2006
