Touch
the relationship between me and my father
is often commented on
the contradictions of parental attachment
remain deeply personal
there is so much to tell
yet part of me remains reclusive
it’s often commented on
yet i remain unnaturally exclusive
i know him, i know him all too well
i watched him so much
watched him every time he fell
and it’s strange, well almost surreal
that you protect your own pain
and the reasons why you feel
some people need answers
some people refuse to field the questions
i have the dubious pleasure
of returning from the childhood mission
in which i attempted to find the treasure
there are things that happened
in which i found out too much
the relationship between me and my father
is something that comes down to touch
