Old Lives
i go on –
there it no time to stop and think
the destruction –
of your old life is all too swift
but as the new one swells up
you know the opportunities cannot be missed
you have to go on
what other option is there
life does not wait around
people ask,
how do you do it
well, what else is there to do?
i know that road continues to stretch on
and it has many twists and turns
i know if stop and i really think
it might just be too much
so, i go on
