Seaside Scenery
i did not come here
to test myself,
there was no need
not now i am here,
i am happy to leave
it’s not hate…
just…
fate…
as ever it has pulled me elsewhere
and home has more meaning –
than seaside scenery
do not misunderstand me
i can connect to this place
parts of it,
is permantly etched upon my face
and estuary air,
is a welcome taste
just…
it does not feel as open
and as exciting as it once did
maybe i am doing it a disservice
and maybe,
it is time, but working a different shift
