Puritan’s Table
Power is not suited to the powerful.
Close the curtains.
Bridge the gap.
Our lives are apparent — we just do not understand the map.
And hope —
It’s something that corporations seem to lack.
What does it mean,
This idle power-based dream,
The square edge madness of its seams?
What does it mean, this status and power
That people scratch and cradle,
Insecurity sitting bolt upright
At the Puritan’s table
Power is not suited to the powerful.
It’s not suited to their wear-and-tear personality,
Their lack of grasp —
Especially when it comes to reality.
