i remember,
‘way back when’
when we were miners
mining for conversational gems

here we are,
the government cannot start the car
it planned for power,
but now power has plans for them
a real disaster,
that raises the skirt and lowers the hem

we live in a world
where the shepherds rule
because,
they herd the sheep
who doff their caps
to the shepherds

i am in a workshop
using tools
to sharpen my edges
because kindness
and softness was not enough
