Life is Such a Chore These Days – Written Monday 14th December 2008 (Aged 33)

Life Is Such a Chore These Days

i listen and then I nod
to people losing faith
telling themselves,
that it will be fine
people treated like possessions
abused like a crate of wine
i listen to the dreary,
bleary eyed tones
of those with someone
but who remain so alone
and people go on about,
the lack of exciting
how they smile and cry,
and are always faking
and how they would like more,
much much much more mating
i listen and I nod
crying on the shoulders,
of a forgotten God
i listen and I plod
to those blind drunk,
and those blind drunk in a fog
i do not know what to say
