i never told you
because it is not an answer
it’s my two left feet
trying to perform
i never told you
because I knew I could lose
with or without you
well, that’s easy to choose
i never told you
because I didn’t want the confusion
i thrive on the friendship
and feed on the illusions
i never told you
because it made no sense
i never thought
it would make a difference
i wonder if you will be here
now that I have
we have been here before
this is the point we return to
every few years
i never told you
but I need you here
