I Never Lost the Plot

if i lost the plot
it does not really matter
some lives can never be plotted anyway
certainly not mine
so if i ever lost the plot
then that is fine
i was never given a script
or a book to read from
or a well ordered list
i have never lost the plot
because the plot has never been apparent
brief bursts of direction
are kept company
but lots of worry and indecision
if the plot thickens
and the mystery deepens
then that is fine
it is only the insanity that i am keeping
i never lost the plot
sometimes i went sideways
instead of going forwards
but i never lost the plot
or read from idiot boards
