So Much Has Happened

so much has happened
since we first met
life has changed in many ways
over the many days and now years
since we first met
telling me that now is great
but i was tell you that,
two and a half years ago
so it seems,
you are two and a half years too late
you talk about space and time
but i have changed so much
we have both grown up alot
so much has happened
you almost tied the knot
our friendship has grown
but i have always known
and now i am happy as i am
i wish it could be
but i am afraid that we all change
what we dreamt of yesterday
can often seem insane today
what you want now
might not be what you want tomorrow
so much has happened
so much that i cannot comprehend
it is the times of our lives
times that will not end
