Pretty Picture
pretty picture
on the mantelpiece
by the 1930’s clock
in the living room
where it feels as if time has stopped
pretty picture
tinted with a few shades
smiling through summer
hiding all the greys
in a house
on the green
where the village comes alive
though time remains unseen
pretty picture
of a couple
one whom has flowers
they lock arms
and that comes alive
with all its charms
