Happy Ever After (Originally Untitled) – Written Friday 19th June 2009 (Aged 34)

Happy Ever After

i wish it could be different
i wish things could be
the, ‘ happy ever after’
that we all dream of
i wish it could be saved
but as much as it –
breaks my heart,
and as much as it tears it apart
i have to say goodbye
i can feel the sadness
and the aching grief
i wish it could be different
but this decision is correct
it is the right but painful thing to do
letting go really hurts
i am truly sorry to do this to you
