You Gave Me a Smile
you gave me a smile
it was sometime last week
i could wait a while
till i find my feet
now it hurts inside
someday we will meet
and will not need to cry
you gave me a smile
now words hide what is inside
but still it will not change
i can hide the pain
you gave me a smile
and in cafes where we meet
we will wait a while
give me a chance to eat
and i will show you my smile
