The Passion
the passion we had
now just burns down
the things we built
and to all those dreams
that we yield
they are as empty,
as a jar of broken promises
as empty as an open field
but an open field can still grow
and produce a harvest
i am looking for a light
i do try my hardest
the passion we shared
cheated on both of us
i have ended up with hate
they seemed to be one and the same
and when i open my eyes
i just seem to be seeing blame
the passion we had
once it flew and it soared
now i know that we were just bored
the things we become
the passion packed its bags
and decided to run
