I Thought the World of You Back Then (I Did Not Know You Thought the World of Me)

i thought the world of you,
back then,
but i did not know,
that you thought the world of me
i always thought,
i was a silly boy
remember?
you met me at the bus stop
that silly boy,
who wrote you letters and poems
and eagerly soaked up your hugs
now, many years later
we reveal feelings and thoughts,
i thought the world of you
back then,
there was never the ending,
that i hoped for
and i never thought,
you could have felt the same
