The Campaign
the pain does not go easily
with no recognition
of either hurt or anger
it feels hard to wash it away
my feelings smudged
upon a canvas of spite
why did she do it to me
i guess it was not personal
the tears and tantrums
the endless and unrelently
emotional demons
that no one could ever meet
the child like maturity
yet no self honesty
not enough to admit to this
the pain does not go easily
the telephone calls
the meetings and saturday nights
trying to show them
that it is world of many delights
it hurt and the pain is real
her campaign against me
something i could only feel
