Echo To Your Smile – Written Saturday 28th June 2008 (Aged 33)

Echo To Your Smile

there is an echo to your smile
but your life,
has building blocks
which have fallen down
and walls with overgrown moss
that creep eastward bound
to find constant loss

there is an echo to your smile
but your life,
has cards not yet dealt
and windows still closed
from which emotions can be truly felt
i cling to the radiator
and watch our ice cream begin to melt

James Garratt – Saturday 28th June 2008
