Parrot Fashion (Originally Untitled) – Written Friday 20th January 2006 (Aged 31)

Parrot Fashion

parrot fashion
quoted back at me
head in hands
what will be,
will be
spitting like like wild donkeys
kicked by an angry mule
oh my distance heart eases
aided by that fuel
set me down
by the turgid sea
what will be,
will be
parrot fashion
imitation is not learning
so set fire to that idea
then stoke the fire
with self esteem and fear
anger is a poor disguise
for self esteem
it dies so quickly inside
oh, what it means to me
what will be,
will be
