Apology Made Redundant (Originally Untitled) – Written Wednesday 11th January 2006 (Aged 30)

Apology Made Redundant

you apologised
but continued to blame
which made,
poor old apology redundant
it was last seen signing on
and shivering in the cold
he never had much work for you
now he is on the dole
you apologised
but because,
you did not mean it
or understand why it was wrong
poor old apology
just got pushed along
i have no doubt
he had always struggled
in your employment
kept topped up
and always awaiting deployment
you undermined
poor old apologies position
and continuing to blame
was a poor decision
now apology is redundant
working for somebody else
you apologised
but the lack of empathy
meant the message was not clear
apology clearly tried to work for you
now he has left for good
