New Place – Written Wednesday 20th December (Aged 25)

New Place

sometimes you turn away,
they say they’re not stealing
but they are taking our sanity
they say they are all feeling
but you know that is not a reality
sometimes you turn away,
sometimes you have to go
you give me the best gifts
but you have nothing to show
i wanted to open a door
find a rainbow in a new place
i wanted to open a door
but they just slammed it in my face
sometimes you turn away,
the bubble will not burst
it is as if it contains oxygen
but that slamming always hurts
and then it starts to fade
you know it is gone
sometimes you turn away
