Silly Boy – Written Tuesday 9th June 2020 (Aged 45)

Silly Boy

i will be okay
just feed me
with your dreams
and water me with love

i will be fine
just romance my dictionary
spoil my words
kiss gently my alphabet
and hold back my hurt

i will be okay
silly boy
who kicked a ball
over the wall
broke a window
and then they ran away

just take me out
and be comforted
by my hope and not my doubt
learn my dreams
like your wallpaper
of stolen childhood scenes

i will be okay
just look after me
when i am tired and sick
when my personality is bruised
and it feels like i no longer fit
