Bless the Person
bless the hand that takes you
moulded by the world
in which you grew up
moulded by those –
who loved you as a child
bless the hand that takes you
bless the hand that makes you smile
moulded by twentieth century society
and its belief in absolute celebrity
its shallow belief in possessions
and its tireless pursuit of vanity
bless the person who believes in you
bless the person with special eyes
eyes that see inside
eyes that do more than cry
with words that do not lie
bless the person who knows you
bless the journey you take
