Poor Imitation of Clever (Originally Untitled) – Written Tuesday 4th April 2006 (Aged 31)

Poor imitation of Clever

your lack of education
whether it be self,
or the type
they drip feed you in school
where they expect us to confirm –
to unexplained rules
your lack of education
and your boundless ignorance
leaves me exasperated
the belief you are somehow,
genius like clever
that you are all knowing
whatever the weather
but your lack of education
exposes you every time
you are poor imitation of clever
a cheap glass of wine
the stone unturned
the stone they left behind when it was just so small
your lack of education
always leaves me appalled
