A Winning Smile – Written November 2006 (Aged 31)

A Winning Smile

i was not born handsome
i was not given a winning smile
i was not given a set of skills
to make the world bow down at my feet
or to pay me lots of money
and make my riches complete
i was not given all the answers
or the gift to be funny,
i was chiseled out of rock
i was brewed over strange dreams
like a pair of old socks
i was made out of plasticine
i try everyday to improve my stance
but whoever gave me sods law
knows i cannot dance
i was not born with those super skills
why would any know that,
as i tumbled out of an old pile
and it is an absolute fact
i was not given a winning smile
