Stopped to Think About It
i stopped to think about it
all this change
but no signpost or direction
i could see nothing on a map
i looked at pictures
and there is not going back
i got sentimental with friends
i fell out with my past
i tried to make amends
i stopped to cross the road
i do not know why
or what,
attracted me to the otherside
it could have been the lights
or something deep inside
i was told by them –
that i have always tried
with or without batteries
i came without a sign
