There to Here – Written April 2002 (Aged 27)

There to Here

this is what i am
not sure of who i used to be
or what i wanted to be
i believe i have always understood
if that is the case
how come it took so long to get here
why did i pay for my fare
in a well of tears
what was i years ago
something all too horrific
when i see the past
it looks almost gothic
some temples are set to last
but i cannot be specific –
on what or who i am
it has taken a while,
just to get to this place
and despite all the tantrums
i am sure it has not been a waste
