The Verge – Written Tuesday 14th April 2002 (Aged 27)

The Verge

on the verge
of tears
of a hill
well i broke down
and still they did not seem real
talked about consequence
and differences
and the changes that had gone on
put in a dreadful position
why was i the one?
stress and pills
tablets with no frills
breakdowns and shakedowns
measure the country's ills
being strong for you
yet i cannot be strong for myself
leaving rooms
but thankfully not shelves
on the verge
of repression
of tears and depression
of retribution
and all those lonely years

James Garratt - Tuesday 16th April 2002
