Occupational Craze – Written April 2015 (Aged 40)

Occupational Craze

they do not like –
being told what to do
life does –
it throws spanners into the works
knives at your board
it whips up a storm
and then plots a different course
it is the answer
until life events step in
learn your stroke
learn to swim
the story once all about you
is about to really begin
they have added new characters
ones that others dare mention
life is writing your chapters now
and you are no longer the centre of attention
so, get used to it
or continue to find comfort in your days
when being such a princess
was an occupational craze
