People Use You Up
people use you up
then spit you out
they forget
that they chose
or what they choose
all they can say
is that they got used
let them live –
in broken worlds
with cracks
on the windows
of their stained glass dreams
we all struggle
to sow up the seams
i cannot believe
that you should
treat other people
like you do
i pity your world
and i pity poor selfish you
just another family
product on the conveyor belt
who let their care
stagnate on the shelf
