Privilege Does Not Surrender
times are hard
and times do change
it is a hurricane life
and everyone has a claim
it is fragility
held up to the light
it is human rights
going many rounds
in an impossible fight
and in the desert
under some shade
the systems of power
find a place to bathe
these days are strange
and they come with
clauses attached
this it the disaster film
that big finance
apparently failed to back
we grapple with concepts
our schooling –
tied to photoshop out
privilege does not surrender
it just screams and shouts
