Life is Fleeting
put your hand on my heart
feel it beating
she taught me many things
and her death has taught me
that life is fleeting
and that we should hug each other
remember the very first greeting
these days,
i hear words of wisdom
from preachers and teachers
and those i have never met
but i intend to –
put your hand on my heart
feel it beating
and even though we know
that life is fleeting
we should spend it here
and weather all the storms
realise that being loved,
should be a norm
fair and square
and as good as it gets
age may convince or consume you
put your hand on my heart
and feel it beating
