I Still Dream of You – Written Monday 25th February 2008 (Aged 33)

I Still Dream of You

i still dream of you
as if you have –
never really gone away
and i know –
that what happened between us
was such a long time ago
but it feels like it is still here
somewhere in the folds
of feelings that have matured
as they have become old
i still think of you
as i have –
never really let go
part of my mind is unconvinced
yet part of it feels and it knows
i cannot make it right
or guarantee perfection
feelings might supply the fuel
but rarely the direction
