Today I Missed You

today i missed you
i missed you when i woke up
you know,
those first few moments of trying to stay awake
i missed you as i lay there
i can tell you,
a million dreams have been dreamt in my bed
i missed you so much
i missed you as i struggled into work
thinking of your special touch
the feeling of missing you turned to a feeling of hurt
i missed you today
despite the positive weather
all the people were walking by unawares
i missed you today and missed you here
just amongst the normality
of my day to day life, where so much is not so clear
