Two Weeks
we had two weeks, it went too fast
it did not last
memories are a friend
and in a way they hold us
but in another way,
they are cruel
they just remind me of what i no longer have
as i sit here,
passing through the night
words could be such a comfort
but these are brutal, as sharp as a knife
they hurt me like cold steel
we had two weeks
but two weeks was never enough
memories are good
memories can help us be free
but right now,
i cannot decide,
if they are a friend or an enemy
two weeks, and we need more
times was always against us
somehow i hope for a miracle
but we are chained to a conveyer belt
and it moved on regardless
