Untouchable – Written Saturday 4th December 1999 (Aged 24)

i could see you again
meeting up through a friend
holding tight, feels all right
temptation is hard to resist
remembering your goodbye kiss
the compliments you paid
can lead to so many complications
it is the games we seem to play
attraction is so sudden
a mutual drawing and a feeling given
attention when we are down
life goes on but in a rut
you are someone else’s
at the end of the day
you show me that i am morally corrupt
but i would have taken you away
and in life, there is always the, ‘but’
i could see you again
but i am aware of the pain it would cause
just forget about the attraction
before we act, let’s apply a permanent pause
