Goodnight – Written Between Tuesday 15th February 1994 and October 1994 (Aged 18/19)

i could cry for you
what you do when life is so cruel
it is never fair
it always seems wrong rather then right
goodbye father, goodnight
there are things you may think you said
but it does not matter anymore
you can hate life if you want
i can only imagine how you feel
i bet you wish that this was one nightmare –
that was not real
i am really sorry for you
i scream at my father
i do not love or respect him
i am scared for you
you have to start over, begin
please believe my friend, it will be alright –
some time in the future
goodbye father, goodnight
do not cry forever
i am here if you need me
strip-down, tumble reality, it crash lands
the dream of insanity
who does have our future in their hands
goodbye father, goodnight
i never thought i would cry for a friend
do not go down,
please do not think it is the end
i will be everything you
and most of all, i will be a friend
