Just Like You – Written Tuesday 15th February 1994 and October 1994 (Aged 18/19)

Just Like You

grab something from the sky
cross over to the other side
know what you know when you die
do not hide,
do not cry,
and if things are confusing
you do not have to know why
what are you losing
just to get to know your own mind
and with me,
you never know what you will find
hold on,
stick by my side
and soon we will be gone
go out and collect what you can
and if i asked you,
would i ever understand
if i could, i would, and if i do
it is only ever somebody
just like you
