Copycat – Written Monday 24th October 1994 (Aged 19)

Copycat

here it comes
and no one ever knows why
why the flowers grow
the sky bleeds
and the waters flow
he was always a little boy
who hated everything
and most of all,
he hated himself
he tried to please everyone else
and he never knew the truth
well here it comes
just in front of your face
he is blind to everything
and most of all,
he is blind to himself
always looking a fool
never getting an audience
people laughing at him
not with him
and he never know why
the mountains fold
and why dies he need to cry
yes, he had been told
but he really hates himself
sad and lonely
he thinks there is nothing else
just a copycat
