Change of Scene – Written Saturday 26th November 1994 (Aged 19)

Change of Scene

i need a change of scene
you must know what i mean
the time when you know –
all the people in a place
and they all know you
you have become a, ‘has been’
avoiding people who hate you
for the things that you have done
you give out the excuse of –
i am only young
i need a change of scene
my life has faded into a nightmare
from a multicoloured dream
i am so damn scared
i know longer know who to trust
and who i need to be there
i am a little child,
without my favourite toys
i am just scared
girls, they are calling us little boys
we try our best
our intentions are meant well
but it all goes to waste
when you are mixing with people
who have heads full of space
i need a change of scene
i really do
i need someone upon whom i can lean
