Dirty Windows – Written July 2010 (Aged 35)

Dirty Windows

here we are
all creating our identity
claiming this is who we are
but here, the truth
it never gets that far
it is just dirty windows in facade
if you look, the real person
just cycles past
it is always about creating an identity
the thirst to present
you hammer on my walls
you never relent
how can anyone on the internet
claim to be so true
who can say, i am me
and accept what you see
when in this virtual world
it is just an obscured reality
