Would You Let Me In

would you let me in
would you open up
and give it one more try
i felt like i was falling
it would have to make you cry
i hear your calling
this old life keeps rolling by
and like you,
i feel it all, deep inside
i could hold you
and cradle your head
i could hold your hands
and listen to every word said
give me a try
give me a chance
let’s step out, into the lights
and have ourselves a special dance
