Deal With It

i have not dealt with it
i have put it to one side
in fact,
i have kept it all inside
i have hoped it would go away
but you know –
the look they give you
well, they look that way
i have not dealt with it
i do not know what to say
i ache, i feel –
i make, i take, you know i am real
but all this would be better –
if it was some far away dream
