Saving Myself
i had to save myself
as i watched them drip
and slowly weep
i turned away
and slowly went to sleep
in the darkest room
where things fight
i run and hide
to save myself from the night
i ran away to the circus
but they only said no
i was too much of a freak
when they looked at me
they said, just go
i found it hard to speak
i ran quickly, away from my bed
dry and dumped,
like the words once said
holding up my conscience to the light
rainbow colours shone through
and it was alright
i had to save myself
but at least,
i was the same as everyone else
