Always Seeking Love
Give me some attention.
I do not need this
foot-brake rejection.
What can a child do
when even one of his parents
decides to reject them?
How is this child affected?
Will they always
live in fear of being rejected?
Will they
be left constantly seeking attention?
People say I do it all the time —
so what if I do,
is that wrong?
I would love to look inside their mind;
I bet somewhere
they have such a sad song.
I live in fear of not being accepted,
being turned down,
or just generally rejected —
but so what,
I can at least be honest about it.
I always try to be honest about myself;
perhaps sometimes it is too much,
but at least I am being me.
Always seeking love,
always feeling the breeze,
being true to myself
even though it brings me to my knees.
