Grief
no, no counsellors
just feeling sad
not throwing chairs
not going mad
just going through the process –
of feeling sad
knowing there will be –
times of grief
times of tears
and living life through gritted teeth
advice well meant
does not always
take my hand
it is natural to grieve
even if it is hard to understand
no, no counsellors
not yet
unless i lose my mind
and it is something i forget
even if my hope –
should go up in bulky smoke
or i lose my marbles
and i forget the joke
then, then i will speak
but right now
i am just working my way through this grief
