Surely You Will Walk Through The Door – Written Monday 23rd January 2012 (Aged 36)

Surely You Will Walk Through The Door

surely you will walk through the door
surely you will come home
we miss you
we feel alone
surely you will be there
when we turn up
kettle, a cake, and a cup of tea
surely you will be there
surely when i call
surely you will pick up the phone
i miss you
we feel alone
surely you have just nipped out
and you are about to return
from one of those shops
maybe with fish and chips
i miss you
life is in such strange bits
surely you will walk through the door
be on the bus
i need to tell you
all about my day
well, in fact my week and what is going on
i have so much to say
it has been too long
surely you will walk through the door
